About Us
What we do is simple but powerful – we offer families financial support for essentials like food, clothing, and shelter. We go beyond the basics by strengthening kids with the power of education, from school supplies to tutoring and personal mentorship. Our goal? To help families in need overcome their challenges, recognize their potential, and actualize the quality of life they deserve.
Currently, Austin for the Kids serves KIPP Alegria Primary School in Austin, an institution dedicated to spark joy through education to their students. As a young non-profit, we’ve raised tens of thousands to bring smiles and stability to the families of KIPP students. We envision an expanded support footprint serving more educational institutions like KIPP in the Greater Austin area.
How Our Annual Holiday Drive Works
Our Holiday Drive at KIPP Alegria Primary School is all about teamwork as we join forces with the school staff to make our mission a reality. In our fourth year, we celebrate the continuous growth that allows us to serve more families each holiday. Our team is small but mighty, and is dedicated to making this time of year special for our families.
How can you help? Your role as a sponsor and/or volunteer is absolutely crucial. We depend on the kindness and generosity of people like you to keep this the smiles ongoing and offer a variety of contribution levels.
